As friends who enjoy going out at night, we loved the special and slightly decadent vibe of this historic hotel. The combination of the old convent and 15th-century church was truly unique. The dining experience in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming. We also enjoyed the large outdoor pool and exploring the site, including the chapel and monks' refectory. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the spa professionals were superbly competent. our stay at this property was a spectacular and memorable experience.

The staff here is incredibly friendly and dynamic. They offered me a tour of the hotel and a delicious wine tasting experience every day at 5 PM. The hotel facilities, like the vine cellar and general property, are truly awe-inspiring. The bed in my room was great and the breakfast provided was very good.

The staff was not very friendly or accommodating, especially when it came to late checkout. When I tried to explain that I had made a spa appointment and was not informed of the penalty for late checkout, the management was unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with.

I recently stayed at a historic hotel in Portugal for three weeks and I must say, it was one of the very best experiences. The Convento Do Espinheiro, Historic Hotel & Spa was a delightful place to stay. The monastery itself was pleasant, with a beautiful cloister. Our room, although in the older section, was spacious and had a large bathroom. The staff at the hotel was what made our stay truly special. They were incredibly helpful and always had a smile. We particularly enjoyed chatting with Daniel S. at the bar area. The pool area was stunning and relaxing, and we enjoyed dining at the Olive restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was a luxurious experience! From the exclusive amenities like the indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and full body massages to the wonderful staff and beautiful garden area, we were thrilled. The restaurant had excellent food with special diet menus available, and the breakfast buffet had a great variety of options.

The only minor issue we encountered was that the sauna and steam room were not hot enough, even after waiting for them to heat up. However, the spa and wellness centre still had plenty of other treatments available like body wraps and facials that made up for it.
