Our stay was magical! The large, well-decorated room had a stunning terrace with views over the city. Breakfast was delightful, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

However, the hotel is on a steep hill, so hauling our luggage from the taxi was a workout. Additionally, the surrounding streets can be confusing, which made navigating a bit tricky at times.

the towels were absolutely terrible, rough as sandpaper, and the AC unit? it sounded like a jet engine! meanwhile, my friends got upgraded, while we were stuck in a basic room, no perks whatsoever. I could have given a good review, but with all these issues, it just woudl ve been impossible!

Had a lovely room on the 4th floor with an epic view over the city. The brekkie was excellent with proper choices—like fresh fruit and lekker pastries. The staff were super friendly, even sent someone to help carry our bags!

Just a heads up, the street parking was a bit of a mission, had to check in first before we got a code for the blockade.

The breakfast variety impressed us daily.

the breakfast was truly a delight, especially when I noticed the croissants vanished by 9:00 am! also, my husband and I were given the basic room while friends were luxuriously upgraded. it’s not too much to expect a complimentary gesture for that trouble! almost gave a good review, but the disrespectful service ruined it.

Our room was spacious and bright with a lovely terrace overlooking the city, which was perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. The hotel had a cozy leisure room and outdoor seating area, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The only thing was that the terrace could use a bit more privacy, but it didn't bother us much. Overall, I’d recommend checking it out! 😊

During my stay, I faced a challenge with the access, as getting there required taking a bus and then a cab due to the uneven pavement. The location was quiet and allowed great walks to nearby attractions. The staff gave helpful recommendations for exploring the area, which I appreciated. I enjoyed the breakfast options, though I wish for more variety. Overall, I found it a comfortable base for sightseeing with nice views.

Great location just in front of the castle, making it easy to explore the city center. Staff were super helpful, even mentioned a quick free way to get up using lifts (saved us a steep hike back! ). Lots of food outlets nearby, which was a bonus!

Our week-long visit was truly enjoyable! The front desk provided invaluable local tips, and we loved the comfortable Junior Suite's spaciousness, even though the amenities like hangers could use improvement. Don't miss the lovely breakfast. try to start your day early for the best selection. Suggest flat shoes for city exploration!

I loved staying at this charming hotel just below the castle, as it was a perfect starting point for leisurely walks to iconic spots like the stunning Graca Church and the scenic Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, offering breathtaking views over the city. the warm and friendly staff were always willing to share helpful tips about nearby restaurants and sights, making our exploration feel even more personalized and enjoyable.
