the kids had a blast playing safely in the spacious grounds and pool, exceeding our expectations from our previous stay in Viana do Castelo. everything was immaculate, staff were friendly, and the evening drinks on the day bed while watching the sunset were simply magical.

View wasn't as picturesque as expected.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at a hidden gem in a beautiful location. The property itself is stunning, with well-maintained gardens and a charming church nearby. The staff was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help us, especially when our phone died and we lost our way off the Camino. The rooms were like small apartments, complete with a kitchenette and a terrace with breathtaking views of the main house, the church, and the sea. The breakfast was relaxed and self-service, and the shared lounge with a pool table was a great place to unwind. The receptionist provided us with a map of the town and recommended some great restaurants. I highly recommend this unique and tranquil retreat.

Although the property is about 20 minutes away from the restaurants and beach, there are closer options like a cafe and a tapas bar within a 10-15 minute walk. It would have been nice to have a fresher smell in the rooms as the sheets had a mothball scent.
