But my room had a view of an air shaft—guess that’s what I get for being a peeping Tom! Plus, the cooking was more tepid than a lukewarm cup of tea.

The hotel’s decor is uniquely theatrical and eclectic, adding a fun twist to our experience. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, whether it was at check-in or during breakfast.

However, the noise from the street was quite disruptive, especially at night. And while the breakfast is tempting, we found it a bit pricey for what you get.

portobay is a fantastic hotel in a prime location close to the old town. the junior suite was amazing, featuring a spacious bathroom with a roll-top bath! the staff made us feel like we were home, and we enjoyed a lovely free welcome drink. breakfast was impressive with plenty of hot and cold options, ensuring something for everyone.

Chur, the location was perfect for exploring Porto, but the dark decor was a bit much for me. Staff were heaps friendly, and breakfast was a treat!

I enjoyed my stay in a comfortable room. The location made it easy to explore the main attractions, all within a short walk. I appreciated the bar area, which provided snacks throughout the day. The breakfast had nice options, particularly the scrambled eggs and Prosecco. However, I found the ambiance a bit too dark for my liking, which made it hard to do my hair and makeup. My experience was overall pleasant, especially for someone who appreciates a refined setting.

Absolutely braw stay! Got upgraded to a massive room with a cracking shower. Staff were pure brilliant and breakfast was a feast for the senses. But I felt the decor was a wee bit dark for my taste. Still, 100% would come back!

What a fun place! The room was super cool with a theater feel, and the complimentary glass of Port was a nice touch. We were right in the heart of everything, walking everywhere. This place suits me perfectly, providing everything I need. The wi-fi is reliable, the restaurant serves delicious meals, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. My first stay, they assisted in finding great shopping spots. I recommend trying the breakfast! I'm coming back for Easter!
