The hotel is located in a nice area just 10 minutes driving from the old city with amazing ocean views. It offers a variety of facilities such as pools, a gym, and spacious rooms. The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable with a great view. The bathroom had two sinks, a bath with a shower over, and provided toiletries like soap, shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion. The service was top-notch, with friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast had a wide selection of options and the lady at the egg station was fantastic. the hotel provided a relaxing holiday experience.

Some guests experienced noise disturbances during their stay, particularly from large groups.

We recently stayed at Vidamar Resort in Funchal for a week to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. The staff were incredibly helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our room had a spacious layout with a breathtaking panoramic sea view. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary sparkling wine and fruit awaiting us upon arrival, which added to the special occasion. The hotel also offered a variety of dining options, allowing us to enjoy different restaurants during our stay. The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of fresh fruits.

The Vidamar resort exceeded our expectations with its kind staff, excellent amenities, and stunning sea views. The hotel is perfectly located right on the sea front, offering stunning views of the ocean. It is also conveniently situated near the Lido area, making it easy to access various attractions and amenities. The lush gardens surrounding the hotel provide a tranquil atmosphere and some natural shade from the trees. Additionally, guests can enjoy a delicious meal at the sushi restaurant, adding to the overall dining experience.

The internet service provided by the hotel was below expectations and not up to par with its 5-star rating.

During our stay at Vidamar Resort, we were pleasantly surprised by the stunning bedrooms and public areas. The food was excellent, especially the poolside restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The hotel also offered a variety of onsite restaurants, including Japanese, Madeiran, and Italian cuisine. We took advantage of the courtesy bus to explore Funchal and even had the chance to visit Reid's, a famous hotel that offers a fantastic afternoon tea. our experience at Vidamar Resort was exceptional and we highly recommend it.

Broken hot tub.

Spent Xmas at the hotel and had a fantastic time. the seafood was absolutely delicious, and the omelets were cooked to perfection. the hotel was situated within walking distance to restaurants and shops. the panoramic lift down to the pool areas was a unique feature, and we enjoyed the view while going down. the room we had was also gorgeous and impeccably clean.

The vegetarian options were almost non-existent at the evening meals, which made it challenging for my vegetarian companion. the morning coffee was not to our taste, and we found ourselves going to a nearby café to get our caffeine fix.

We had one of the best stays in this city at this hotel. The location is excellent, right on the sea front with panoramic views. We enjoyed coastal walks and nearby shops and restaurants. The hotel facilities are fantastic, with twin infinity pools and a very nice spa. The breakfast offered a huge choice and exceeded our expectations. The staff were very helpful, and their attention to detail and great service stood out. we had a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

This hotel offered luxurious amenities that exceeded my expectations. the spa and wellness centre provided an excellent massage and a relaxing sauna. the indoor swimming pool and infinity pool were clean and well-maintained.

The only minor issue was the restaurant service, which was slow during peak times. the amazing food and variety made up for it.

Stayed at a fantastic resort! Staff were friendly, food was delicious, and the infinity pool with a view of the sea was gorgeous. We were pleasantly surprised with a birthday cake, card, and bubbly for one of our guests. Our room was even upgraded to a suite, which was pure luxury. the hotel is conveniently located, allowing for a pleasant walk along the coastline into town. One of the best hotels I've been to in years!
