I recently stayed at Vila Gale in lovely Coimbra for 3 nights. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and a short walk to the historical center. The double room I had was a good size and had a beautiful view of the river. Despite being near a train track, the noise was minimal. Finding parking on the street was easy and affordable. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating.
