Unbelievably close to the beach and restaurants in bustling umhlanga rocks. Self-catering rooms were comfy with a kitchenette and fantastic toiletries. Drawback: no ham at breakfast. Staff was friendly and efficient. Emoji: 🌴.

I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff and enjoyed the comfy bed. Breakfast was a treat, offering great value. the location was superb, just a saunter away from local eats like Olive & Oil Umhlanga and Butcher Boys.

A small hiccup with the carpet cleaning caught us off guard, but the hosts were accommodating. Keep an eye out for local quirks like beach conditions.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach and the promenade where there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. The service we received from the hosts was exceptional, they were welcoming and made us feel right at home. The breakfast provided was delicious and there was a good variety to choose from. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area and the pool.

That the fridge and stove in the room were a bit too small for our needs.

We were close to many restaurants and bars which made it easy to find a good place to eat. the outdoor area was very pleasant with nice sunbeds and chairs for relaxing. the room had a good amount of space and had nice touches such as a comfortable bed.

The room did not meet our expectations. the fridge was too small and the stove was not adequate for cooking even simple meals.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Anchor's Rest! The personal service we received was outstanding, with everyone going out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was first class, with a great choice of freshly cooked food. The bedroom was very comfortable and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. The small pool was a nice added bonus, with sunbeds, towels, and shades provided. The location of the guesthouse is perfect for exploring Umhlanga and the surrounding areas. We also felt secure with the provided parking.

Great location, close to shops, restaurants, and the beach promenade. Excellent breakfast and attentive hosts. Well-appointed rooms with all the essentials. Convenient to leave car behind and explore the village by foot. Honesty bar adds a nice touch.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this guesthouse. Everything was clean, welcoming, and great value for money. the beds were comfy, the shower was excellent, and we appreciated the added bonuses of having tea, coffee, and biscuits in the room. the location was perfect, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. the owner was organized, checking our arrival time and ensuring we had the correct address. the separate bath and shower were a treat, and we loved the little plunger and ground coffee provided. a fantastic experience and we would definitely stay here again.
