The delicious breakfast, prepared by a French host, was a delight. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was impeccable. Despite a minor inconvenience with getting our luggage to the room, our overall experience was outstanding. We highly recommend this tranquil retreat for a perfect getaway.

Plus, the breakfast was fantastic and really set us up for a day full of adventure.

While the hotel offered plenty of outdoor activities, such as hiking and wine tasting, a small indoor lounge area would have been a nice addition to relax during inclement weather.

The ideal destination for a relaxing get-away with undisturbed walking, free breakfast, and a pool. They even provide bicycles, just what I needed in the mountains!

From the moment I arrived, the attention to detail and French touch were evident. the tastefully decorated rooms were a delight, and I especially loved the outdoor shower and cozy fireplace. the views from the terrace were simply breathtaking, and the hikes, particularly the protea hike, offered a wonderful way to explore the surrounding nature. the staff, including Cedar and Rosalie, were incredibly friendly and added to the overall charm of the experience. the gardens were beautifully maintained, attracting a variety of birds, and the little chapel and gazebo on the hill provided moments of tranquility. the meals served at the estate were outstanding, with a focus on French cuisine and impeccable presentation.

The walking trails provided outstanding views, and we loved the cooling swim in the small pool. The four-course dinner was a delight, and breakfast on the patio was a feast. I highly recommend this gem of a place for a relaxing and scenic stay.

Being slightly formal, the separate tables for dinner interrupted pre-dinner conversations. Also, while there are plans to re-open the restaurant, the current dinner options are limited.
