Great welcoming by friendly staff, made my stay from check-in to checkout great. Loved the atmosphere, especially the outdoor kitchen and dining area.- The fact that they grow most of their vegetables used in the kitchen.

Unlike other vendors, they did not provide any assistance or accommodations for cancellations.

I got great value for my money at Lebo's Soweto Backpackers. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated with local artwork. The location was perfect for immersing myself in the vibrant township experience. The staff treated me like family, always smiling and willing to help.

The breakfast selection could be improved with more variety.

Lebo's Soweto Backpackers was a welcoming and homely place to stay. the staff were warm and friendly, the rooms spacious and tastefully decorated, and the beds comfortable with high-quality linens. the on-site breakfast and dinner options were delicious, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients. We highly recommend taking the walking tour with Linda to get a great introduction to the area. the bar and outdoor firepit were perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Lebo's provided a safe and authentic experience in Soweto.

We had an amazing time at this hostel! the outside sitting area was beautiful and we loved hanging out at the campsite and bar across the road. the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. Communication was easy and they offered fantastic walking and cycling tours. It's also a safe place to travel alone and we felt completely comfortable both in the hostel and in the neighborhood. the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and comfortable. a wonderful experience!

Friendly staff, delicious dinner, honesty bar, cozy outdoor fires, warm in winter. No water due to burst pipe but staff provided warm water for a wash. A pleasant family atmosphere with authentic African feel. Spotless facility, amazing food, and hands-on cooking class. Recommend biking tour. Cheers for getting it right!

The location of the hotel was very convenient, as it was close to important tourist attractions, such as Mandela and Tutu houses. There were plenty of facilities available, including a bar and outdoor sitting area, where we enjoyed our time. -We were able to participate in the Tuk Tuk tour, which gave us a unique and immersive insight into the local culture.

Great atmosphere, delicious local food, friendly staff, clean rooms and excellent bathroom facilities, fantastic bicycle tour, fresh and delicious lunch by 'mama'.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a quiet and charming guesthouse in a real African township. It was an essential cultural experience, allowing me to truly immerse myself in the local Johannesburg lifestyle and taste delicious township food. the accommodations were simple, safe, and clean, with a lovely hot shower. While it may not be a 5-star hotel, the staff at Lebo'S Soweto Backpackers were absolutely awesome and super friendly. the outdoor space with a fire pit was excellent for meeting and conversing with new people. the location in Soweto was perfect, and the community was incredibly friendly.

I had a fantastic stay at Lebo's Soweto Backpackers! The staff made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They gave me a tour of the property and provided information on things to do in the area. The room was clean, well-lit, and had enough outlets for all my devices. I also enjoyed the delicious family-style meals, especially the Saturday braai. The highlight of my stay was taking the four-hour bicycle tour of Soweto. The guide was knowledgeable and I got to see both the touristy and local parts of the area. I highly recommend Lebo's Soweto Backpackers for a friendly and authentic stay.
