the location is stunning, overlooking the sea with no other properties in sight. the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel like part of a family. the food, prepared by the fantastic chef Ilse, was delicious. the cozy atmosphere, unique nature trails, and beautiful animal sightings made my experience unforgettable. special thanks to the kind and helpful Jermina and the excellent breakfast provided. overall, a truly amazing place for nature lovers with outstanding service.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious tent we stayed in at Misty Mountain Reserve. It had a shower, a toilet, a queen-size bed, and even a bathtub. The additional outside shower was a nice touch. The tent was well-equipped with heating and had a comfortable porch to relax on. Despite some noise at night, we had a fine stay. Our room, the Swan, had a unique bathroom layout, with a wall that didn't go all the way up to the ceiling. While this may not be ideal for everyone, it added a touch of intimacy for couples. The premises and rooms at Misty Mountain Reserve were fantastic, and the restaurant was worth trying. We enjoyed spotting the friendly peacocks and other wildlife on the property. Despite a minor drawback of limited vegetarian options on the dinner menu, the veg curry in the restaurant was delicious. The staff was very friendly and the experience overall was enjoyable.

misty mountain reserve is a little spot of paradise with beautiful green grass and a blue ocean. the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. the cabins are magical, comfortable, big, and cozy. can't wait to come back again.

uneven walkway to rooms

The room had a great view and the staff were helpful. The guided hike offered a variety of activities. Short drive to nearby village. Comfy and cozy cabins with beautiful ocean views. Excessive breakfast servings. Lovely walks around the property, especially in the forest.

The secluded location offered a real escape from the city, and the stunning views of the mountains and wildlife made it a true Easter adventure. the picnic baskets and braai options were a great way to enjoy the outdoors. the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The water quality in the taps left a lot to be desired, and there was no Wi-Fi or cellphone reception which made it difficult to stay connected. the room was outdated and had a musty smell, making it feel less comfortable than advertised.
