The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is close to everything in the charming village. We loved the peaceful garden behind the main building, where we could relax and enjoy the scenery. The small restaurant next to the hotel served delicious food, and we especially enjoyed the gin bar where we could unwind after a long day of exploring. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and well-maintained bathrooms. The friendly staff provided excellent service throughout our stay.

The only drawback was the noise in the mornings coming from the restaurant, which could be a bit disruptive.

Excellent service from Tanja at the front desk. Enjoyed the balcony and the amazing breakfast with great coffee.

The hotel's location in this charming town is perfect, as it is within walking distance of everything. The cleanliness of the room was top-notch, and the hotel facilities, especially the pool area, were fabulous. The staff were extremely friendly and provided excellent service. Additionally, the breakfast served on the veranda was delicious.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The hotel is nestled right in the heart of the village, making it the perfect location to explore all the shop and eating areas. The service and housekeeping were top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They even gave me a warm welcome by offering a delicious welcome drink. The room amenities were fantastic, with ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, and tea and coffee facilities available. The terrace with garden furniture was a great spot to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The hotel also had a wonderful dining restaurant where I enjoyed some delectable meals. The poolside snack bar and bar/lounge area were perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. the hotel provided enhanced comfort and quality services.

In terms of customer service, there were a few moments where some of the staff seemed rushed and unfriendly. However, this was not the case with Renee, the waiter, who tried his best to make us feel welcome.

Conveniently located, clean, and friendly staff. Good dining options and safe parking. Lovely, nostalgic atmosphere. Comfy bed, perfect for exploring the town.

The spa at Mont D'Or Swartberg was absolutely beautiful, and I had an incredibly relaxing massage there. The therapist was highly professional and made me feel completely at ease. The restaurant facilities were also top-notch, with delicious food and excellent organization.

As backpackers, we were thrilled with the range of activities offered at the hotel. The owner's personal involvement in the day-to-day running made us feel welcomed and the deli allowed us to try and purchase local produce.

We felt very fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem of a hotel. No complaints whatsoever!

The Swartberg Hotel exceeded all expectations and I would highly recommend it. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the Groot Karoo, and Prince Albert itself has a great selection of restaurants and shops. The staff at the hotel were exceptional, and the facilities were top-notch. I especially loved the delicious breakfast served. The hotel's beautiful building and well-maintained gardens added to the overall charm, and the decor reflected the hotel's age. The spacious rooms and delightful staff made for a wonderful stay.

Had a great New Year celebration at this beautiful historic building. Enjoyed the nicely furnished room with a balcony, which had a special atmosphere. The complementary stress-relieving massage administered by an efficient lady at the spa was the best part of our stay. The food was very nice, and we were able to sit outside for breakfast, enjoying the key location view. the pool was big enough for a nice refreshing swim.

The coffee shop tended to be noisy when busy, and unfortunately, the parasols by the pool were replaced by shredded ones that had more holes than cloth. However, the cons did not take away from the overall great experience, and we would certainly visit again.
