Our stay at Bel Jou was nothing short of magical! Picture this, lounging by the pool, sipping cocktails served right to your floating chair, while the beautiful gardens and a partial view of the Caribbean Sea set the perfect backdrop. The buffet offered a variety that would make a food critic swoon, with the desserts, particularly the ice cream, winning the sweet-tooth award every day! We also got to appreciate the Thursday BBQ night—imagine a feast where the meat is marinating two days prior. That's dedication! The evening entertainment kept us laughing and dancing, from karaoke to live music under the stars. The little touches, like the managers checking in on guests, made us feel like VIPs at this cozy boutique hotel!

During my stay, I noticed several issues that really took away from the experience. There were inconsistencies in service, especially when I had different staff members provide conflicting information about the dinner menus. Additionally, the plumbing in the bathroom was a concern, as I faced drainage problems that made my showers less enjoyable. Overall, there seemed to be a lack of cohesion, which made my time here less satisfying than I had hoped.

There are far too many steps to climb, especially to get to the restaurant!!! It's not very accommodating for those with mobility issues. Entertainment options could be improved, and the snacks at Lulu's often take forever to arrive!!! I've seen better drinks at other bars!!! The roof top bar could use some mixers for cocktails. It’s hard to understand how a nice hotel can forget toiletries one day and the next have inadequate food choices!!!

The freshly brewed coffee at Bel Jou is a revelation! Pair that with the delicious buffet meals that change regularly, and you're in for a real culinary treat. The gardens are simply beautiful, adding to the hotel’s serene vibe.

For me and my friend, the only one thing we wished they had was a duvet. I know it’s summer, but a comfy cotton duvet would be so good because the air conditioning is cold. We had to keep it on because it was hot, and what they provided was just a cotton sheet, which wasn't enough.
