Convenient location near the train station.

I was extremely frustrated with the internet service. it was practically non-existent and made it impossible to work. The room was very dark, and while that kept it cooler, it felt oppressive. Plus, the lack of window drainage led to wet floors, making it uncomfortable. I could hear everything from neighbors and trains. the walls were paper-thin, which ruined any chance of good rest.

hostal el pilar is super easy to reach from the sol metro station and is right in the heart of the city. my room was fairly clean, and the small lift was a convenient touch. the receptionist was also around in the early morning, which was helpful. i loved how close it was to everything!

i was REALLY looking forward to my stay, but the shower was so small i felt like a sardine! The so-called parking facilities? utter nonsense, as the nearest lot was outrageously priced. And honestly, after spending all that money, i expected at least a complimentary bottle of water, but i guess being treated like royalty was too much to ask. Ugh.

the so-called "single room" was basically a closet, I could barely open my luggage. I would have expected a welcome gift or at least an upgrade, but alas, it seems preferential treatment is just a fantasy here. almost wrote a good review, but I just couldn’t.
