We had an amazing stay at Hostal Castilla II Puerta Del Sol. We were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to a spacious family room with a double bed and a single bed. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and a great shower. We were impressed with the closet space too. The location of the hotel couldn't be better - just a 2-minute walk to Plaza Mayor and Mercado de San Miguel, and only 1 minute to Puerta del Sol. We could easily explore Gran Via and Plaza de Cibeles within 5 minutes. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel was surprisingly quiet at night. We also loved the convenience of having great restaurants and a 24-hour mini market just across the street. A highly recommended stay!

Uncomfortable beds.

The location was fantastic, just a 2 minute walk to the Sol metro station which made it easy to explore the entire city. There were plenty of bars, shops, tourist sites, and restaurants within a 1-2 minute walk. I was impressed with how clean and functional the room was, and the easy check-in and check-out process. The wifi was also great. I would happily stay here again.

We were able to experience the vibrant nightlife of Madrid, with its incredible variety of bars and restaurants that transform into buzzing nightclubs at night. We also loved exploring the cultural heritage of the city, whether it was strolling through the charming neighborhoods of Barrio de las Letras or El Madrid de los Austrias, or wandering down the lively Calle Arenal to catch a glimpse of the stunning Royal Palace.

The only thing we could ask for as young party-goers is for the hotel to have a better organized and more lively social area where we could meet and interact with other young travelers. We would have loved a designated space to hang out and make new friends during our stay.
