Excellent location, helpful reception, friendly cafe, great reception.

Our recent stay at Hostal Universal was a mixed bag, but there were definitely some positive aspects worth mentioning. The location of the hotel was excellent, although our sat-nav had a bit of trouble with the one-way system. Once we found our way, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful reception staff, who made us feel welcome from the start. Although the hotel didn't offer breakfast, there was a fantastic café conveniently located on the opposite corner, providing a great start to our mornings. We did experience some noise issues during our stay, as the walls were paper-thin and our fellow guests seemed to have little consideration for their neighbors' sleep. However, despite this drawback, overall I would still recommend Hostal Universal for its prime location, helpful staff, and nearby dining options.
