The condition of the guesthouse was poor, with dirty and shabby furniture and facilities. The towels and bed linen were in need of replacement, as they were stained and worn.

The manager, who multitasked as receptionist and housekeeper, did a commendable job, but it was evident that more staff would improve the quality of the rooms and maintenance. Moreover, the location was ideal, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and attractions nearby in the vibrant Ramblas and old town area.

The air conditioning was controlled from reception and turned off during the night, making for uncomfortable nights.
