The value for money at Royal Palms Beach was exceptional. The room was spacious, comfortable, and environmentally-friendly. The location was perfect, right on the beach, and the staff treated us like family, especially our amazing host, Amanda.

Breakfast delights would have been improved with more vegetarian options.

The spacious and clean rooms were very comfortable, and the large bed provided a good night's sleep. The hotel's facilities, including the restaurants, lobby, and gym, were well-maintained and nicely decorated. I especially enjoyed the delicious and varied food in the restaurant, with different themed evenings offering a wide selection of dishes. The separate appetizer and dessert rooms were a wonderful addition, and the presentation of the food was impressive. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and sincere, contributing to a fantastic holiday experience. The well-maintained garden and dream-like pool with a pool bar were also highlights.

The beach, although not owned by the hotel, was not very private and the sea had strong currents most of the time during my stay. It would have been beneficial if the hotel had stricter dress code enforcement during dinner, as some guests did not adhere to appropriate attire.

Rooms and some areas of the hotel feel aged and tired. Beach is not suitable for swimming due to rough sea and constant hawkers on the sand.

I had an amazing stay at a beach hotel in Kalutara. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view from the balcony. The pool was refreshing and the food was delicious, especially the spaghetti carbonara at the Cabana restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
