The hotel is very relaxing and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful gardens. We loved watching chipmunks, birds, lizards, and families of monkeys passing through. The staff at this hotel were excellent and provided great service. They were attentive, polite, and always willing to help. The rooms were quite comfortable and had a balcony with a great view of the trees and resident wildlife. The breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the pool, gardens, and jungle was superb. It included fresh fruit, spicy vegetable rotis, sweet treats, and eggs cooked to your liking with thick toast and the best coffee on the island.

We had an amazing time at The Spice House! Great value for money with spacious rooms and a lovely balcony overlooking the stunning pool and gardens. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

The breakfast option could have been improved with a greater variety of choices.

The location of the hotel is perfect, being near enough to Mirissa beach but also away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy area. The room, particularly the Clove Cottage, was spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the trees and monkeys. The service provided by the hosts, Phil and Wathsala, was exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The breakfasts offered a taste of Sri Lankan cuisine and the gardens and pool were well-maintained.

The Spice House exceeded our expectations! The value for money was excellent and our room was spacious and beautiful, with a lovely deck overlooking the pool and property. The location was perfect, tucked away from the busy main road but still within a short walk to the beach and bars. The staff were incredibly helpful, always ready to assist and provide valuable recommendations.

For breakfast offerings, it would be great to have a wider variety of options.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Sri Lanka that was absolutely fantastic. The hotel had a beautiful pool area that was perfect for relaxing after a long day of meetings, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the best things about the hotel was the location - it was situated in a quiet area that was still close enough to shops and restaurants to be convenient. Plus, the hotel had a wonderful on-site restaurant that served delicious food.

The only downside to my stay was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, but this was a minor issue and didn't detract from my overall experience.

This hotel is a hidden gem. It offers great value for money with affordable prices. The attention to detail is evident throughout the property, from the beautifully decorated rooms to the wide veranda overlooking the lush jungle. The staff provide excellent service and the basic amenities are well-maintained. Plus, the location is ideal, right off the main road and just a short walk away from the beach.

No improvements needed, everything was perfect.
