We had a wonderful stay at a hostel with a fabulous view. the location was perfect, just a short walk from the bus and train stations. the terrace offered stunning views of the mountains and river, perfect for an evening stroll. the staff was very nice and the breakfast spread was the best I've had in Europe, with a variety of options including champagne. the kitchen was clean and well-stocked, allowing us to cook our own meals if desired. we had a great experience at Alplodge and would highly recommend it.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like 😊

The location of the hotel was great, with a market and the train station being within walking distance. According to a review, the hotel also offered a great view of the water passing right in front. a specific positive aspect mentioned was the spaciousness of the rooms, with one review stating that there was plenty of room for a family.

The staff's treatment towards certain guests, as mentioned in another review, was clearly different depending on whether they were staying at the attached hotel or the hostel.

The location of this hotel was perfect, with an amazing view in the lounge! It was so convenient to be just a few minutes away from the train station and bus stop. The breakfast offered was also very good and had a nice variety of options. Another advantage was having a hairdryer in the room, which made things much easier. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

That there were only a few shared bathrooms between two floors, which sometimes resulted in a wait. It would have been better if there were more bathrooms available to accommodate all the guests.

Beds were extremely squeaky and close together, causing disruption and discomfort during sleep. Pillows were of poor quality, lacking in support and would deflate easily.

The hotel was partially renovated, so we enjoyed the modern comforts like USB plugs and new toilets, while still experiencing the rustic charm of a Swiss chalet. The rooms were impeccably clean, and we appreciated the daily turn-down service in the private rooms. The shared kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, allowing us to cook our own meals.

We stayed at Alplodge for a week and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean and hygienic. The kitchen facilities were top-notch, and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast options. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The views from our room and the common areas were breathtaking. our stay felt more like a hotel than a hostel, and the lobby areas gave off an airy feeling.
