I recently stayed at a small and peaceful resort on Koh Mak called Naivacha Tent. It was such a magical experience. The resort is eco-friendly, with options to stay in tents or cozy bungalows. As vegetarians, my husband and I were delighted with the fresh and delicious breakfast provided by the staff, who even sourced their eggs from their own chickens. The manager was quick to fix any issues we had, and the owner, a lovely and educated man, shared interesting stories about the island with us. The highlight of our stay was the friendly and helpful staff, including the adorable dog, Han Han. The location, away from the main roads, ensured a peaceful and beautiful environment. The clean and well-kept surroundings and the efforts made by the locals to combat pollution made this place feel like a little piece of paradise in Thailand. Moped rentals and a free shuttle service to and from the pier were also convenient amenities.
