I recently stayed at Vieng Fah Resort for a week and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is located to the east of downtown, but we rented a scooter which made getting around quick and easy. The views of the mountains from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. The environment is peaceful and tranquil, perfect for a good night's sleep. The staff at the reception are friendly and their English is excellent. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a beautiful pool and a cozy eating/lounge area with stunning views.

There were unnecessary plastic sachets of shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom instead of larger refillable containers. the hotel advertised laundry facilities but didn't have any, which was inconvenient for backpackers like myself.
