The Excellent breakfast with a view of the Loch was a highlight, and the conservatory was a cozy spot to relax. the surrounding area was perfect for family walks and exploring, with landmarks like St Patrick's Church and Threave Castle nearby. the peaceful atmosphere and welcoming hospitality enhanced our family bonding time, making for a memorable stay.

They were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel like we were putting up at a friend's house. the hosts put a huge part of their home at our disposal, making us feel so well looked after. the breakfast was the best I have had in a while, with a wide variety of options, including Haggis if you wanted to try it. the food was cooked freshly to order, and the beautiful country surroundings added to the charm. the location is so beautiful, offering wonderful views of Dumfries and Galloway, which is fantastic for exploring the attractions of South West Scotland.

If there was one thing that could be improved, it would be the comfort of the beds. While the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, the beds themselves were not the comfiest.

Had an amazing weekend getaway! The views were breathtaking, and the area offered plenty of activities to do during our stay. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a lovely en-suite bathroom. The breakfast tasted delicious, and the fact that the eggs were from chickens and ducks on the farm made it more enjoyable. The owner was fantastic, and her recommendations for restaurants and local attractions were spot on. The welcoming coffee and homemade shortbread upon our arrival were the perfect touch. We also appreciated the ample parking available.

The room was small but beautifully furnished, mini fridge with chocolates, excellent breakfast, out of the way location with scenery and wildlife, lovely and friendly hosts.

The rooms were impeccably clean and the breakfast overlooking the village was a real treat. Plus, the food was amazing - even the beans and brown sauce came in cute little pots! I also appreciated the helpful advice on local attractions and the reliable taxi service provided.

While there wasn't much to dislike about this place, my only minor complaint would be the breakfast spread. I prefer butter with my toast, and the spread provided didn't quite hit the mark.

The only downside I can think of is that there aren't many restaurants or pubs in the immediate vicinity. if you're seeking a restful retreat, this is the perfect location.
