We had a truly pleasant experience at this family owned guest house. The service was exceptional and the food in the restaurant was delicious. The bed was very comfortable and the beer garden was a lovely place to relax. We also appreciated the free WiFi. I highly recommend this inn for a great stay.

The Allanton Inn exceeded our expectations in several areas. the attention to detail by the owners was exceptional. Our room was beautifully decorated and extremely quiet and comfortable, with two windows facing the front, allowing lots of natural light. The hotel's location down by the bridge and close to two long sandy beaches provided a peaceful and serene setting, perfect for connecting with nature. Additionally, the staff were friendly and welcoming, offering us an even better room upon our arrival. We were also impressed with the excellent facilities in our room, including a great shower and shared bathroom. The highlight of our stay was the delicious breakfast, with a wide variety of options including fresh fruit, berries, and cereals. The homemade jams, especially the local honey for the toast, were a delightful touch. we had a fantastic experience at this hotel and can't wait to return!

One of the best aspects was the breakfast, which had a wide selection to cater to everyone's needs, and the fresh fruit was especially enjoyable. a super stay and I would gladly return if in the area again.

The customer service left something to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive to our needs, never once offering any help or assistance during our stay. We had booked a romantic escape, but felt like we were just another reservation. Additionally, the walls were quite thin, and we could hear everything going on in the neighboring rooms, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy our getaway.

As longer term business travelers, we thoroughly enjoyed the superb facilities and amenities at this hidden gem. The breakfast, sourced locally, surpassed even posh restaurants. The passion displayed by the owner towards the produce was inspiring. The menu was just right, offering a fresh and varied selection. The homemade granola and muesli were absolutely fabulous. A special highlight was the fresh honeycomb straight from the beehive. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, upmarket, and cozy. The comfortable super kingsize bed ensured a good night's sleep. we were extremely pleased with our stay and will definitely be returning.

I had a fantastic stay at this hidden gem inn. From the warm welcome to the lovely spacious room with a queen size bed, everything was perfect. The bathroom was beautifully decorated and equipped with Highland Soap Co toiletries, which I loved so much that I purchased some from the inn. The highlight was the delicious evening meal made from locally sourced ingredients. The breakfast menu offered a variety of options, and I enjoyed the eggy bread with bacon and maple syrup. I can't wait to stay at this splendid Inn again next year on my way to Shetland.

What a gem of a find! We were there for my sister's wedding and the staff gave us extra space to get ready at no extra cost. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were all wonderful and accommodating. The location was beautiful, and the food was exceptional for both dinner and breakfast, using local produce and homemade ingredients. We were thoroughly impressed and would definitely book again if we visit the area.

One negative aspect we experienced was the noise from neighboring rooms, which could be disruptive at times. Additionally, as the Inn is situated in the countryside, guests should be prepared for slower moving agricultural vehicles in the area.
