We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the centre of this picturesque town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing information on local history and attractions. The newly refurbished room with a comfortable bed and large bathroom was impeccable. The dinner at the hotel's restaurant was delicious, with every course being excellent. The breakfast options were delightful, especially the Scottish porridge. The hotel had ample parking space and was conveniently located just outside the garden rooms.

I recently stayed at this hotel on my way back from Scotland to England, and I must say it was a fantastic find. The location is ideal for stopovers on Scotland/England trips, being conveniently located just off the M74. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with comfortable bedding and a hot shower. One highlight of my stay was the delicious breakfast, which offered a wide range of local produce and was of a very high quality. Considering the affordable price I paid, this hotel definitely offers great value for money.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Annandale Arms! The highlight for me was the food - absolutely exceptional. I still can't get over how light and delicious the fish batter was, and the porridge in the morning was simply divine. The attention to detail in the preparation and the emphasis on local suppliers really impressed me. The staff were friendly and informative, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The comfortable mattress and high-quality bedding ensured a great night's sleep. Despite a minor issue with the room temperature, the overall stay was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel for its outstanding food and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely return to the Annandale Arms in the future.

Spent the new year’s eve at this hotel. Very interesting concept of preparing their food with an emphasis on local suppliers. Despite the cold shower, comfortable rooms were offered and the secure parking at the back of the hotel was appreciated. The staff was very charming, especially the lady in charge of the bar and reception, who entertained us throughout the evening.

The hot water pressure in the shower was insufficient, which made it difficult for us to take a comfortable shower. The atmosphere in the garden rooms could be warmer, especially in the evenings.
