Stayed at Ascot House for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect for exploring the city, with a Co-op shop across the road for wine. The room was spotlessly clean and had a comfortable four-poster bed. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options, including a delicious full English. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the on-site car park was convenient. The 1 o'clock check-in was a bonus. Will definitely be coming back.

Visited Ascot House for a weekend getaway and was pleasantly surprised. Owners were extremely helpful, waiting up for my late arrival and even surprising me with an upgraded room! The house itself is elegant, charming, and full of character. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was top-notch. The location is convenient with a nearby Co-op for any needs. Excellent value compared to city centre hotels. Can't wait to return!

our honeymoon stay in york was made even more special by ascot house. the room was spacious and clean with a beautiful en suite bathroom. the shower was fantastic and the breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious. the staff were welcoming and offered great local recommendations.

Got a sweet deal on this place for our stay in the city, including parking and breakfast. the location was great too – 15 minute walk to the center, or a bus right outside the door. Staff were helpful and lovely, and the room itself was really comfortable and had a lot of character. Plus, the breakfast was satisfactory enough to fill me up for ages.

The city can be pretty noisy, so it was tough getting a good night's sleep with all the traffic outside. the car park was pretty small so we had to really adjust to fit in.
