Loved the evening Scottish music storytelling!

Loved the musical evenings. very cultural and engaging!

The warm welcome set the tone for my stay at Averon. Enjoyed the Scottish music evenings that made the experience memorable, especially with the owner’s engaging stories and local lore.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was quite basic with limited options, and the room felt a bit dated, which might not appeal to everyone. The mattress was also on the firm side, affecting my sleep.

A fantastic location, just a short walk from key attractions! The evenings bring live music that enhances a traditional Scottish experience! !

Be prepared for outdated decor and less-than-ideal room configurations that may impact your comfort.

During my stay, I found the room to be quite cramped and lacked basic amenities. The decor felt outdated, and the creaking floors made for an uncomfortable night's sleep, as noise from other guests disrupted my rest. Additionally, the breakfast was disappointing with only limited options available, such as cold toast and instant coffee, which did not meet my expectations for a traditional guest house.

also, after the unsatisfactory breakfast, a simple upgrade woudl ve been nice! but clearly, they're too busy to care, not to mention the screaming children around.

The highlight was the evening music sessions featuring Scottish tunes and engaging stories, creating a cozy, unforgettable vibe.

The location is superb, allowing for easy exploration of nearby attractions. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness made a significant difference, with secure parking right by the building. The breakfast, featuring delicious salads, exceeded expectations with its variety. However, the furniture in the room, including old chairs that leaned to one side, detracted from comfort. Additionally, the service could benefit from more professionalism, as I noticed the waiter complaining to guests on a couple of occasions.

This place suits me perfectly, providing great amenities like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, and 24-hour reception. On my first stay, the kind staff helped me find parking, and I always feel taken care of. Highly recommend!

Staying at Averon Guest House was a dream come true! The warm hospitality from Mr Cran made us feel like part of a family. The highlight was his enchanting evening of Scottish music that brought the guests together. Our comfy, historic room was perfect after a long day of exploring Edinburgh. To top it off, the breakfast was an absolute treat, served with love and attention! Highly recommended.

The live music sessions were truly engaging and added a unique touch. The shower door had noticeable mould buildup, which detracted from the bathroom experience.
