had a brilliant stay, lovely hosts, great breakfast, and beautiful location. exceeded my expectations in every way.

hot water issue for first 2 nights

The shower was spacious and comfortable for someone with a spine problem. the location of the hotel was ideal, with easy access to parking and nearby shopping. the room provided a variety of amenities including face wipes, flannels, soaps, and refreshments like bottled water, tea, coffee.

The building's older architecture resulted in a cramped shower, which can be challenging for those with spinal issues.

We had a fantastic stay at the Beachcomber Guest House. From the moment we arrived, Julie and Ray made us feel incredibly welcome and provided us with all the information we needed for our stay. Julie was a wealth of knowledge, suggesting wonderful places to visit and dine. Ray's breakfasts were delicious and cooked to perfection. The location of the guest house was ideal, with convenient bus stops right outside and the beach just across the road. Thank you, Julie and Ray, for making our stay so enjoyable!

The owners, Julie and Ray, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had a memorable experience. For our Golden Wedding Anniversary, Julie surprised us with bubbly, chocolates, and a card, which was incredibly thoughtful. Ray's breakfast was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection and exactly how we wanted it. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this guesthouse to others. we had a superb stay at Beachcomber Guesthouse.

Almost perfect.

The location of the guesthouse couldn't be better, with the beach just across the road. It was so convenient to take a stroll on the sandy shores or catch a beautiful sunset. The hosts were very friendly and made me feel right at home. The room was clean and comfortable, with a little fridge to store my snacks. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious, giving me plenty of energy for a day of exploring.

The toilet seat in my room didn't stay up properly.

This hotel was perfect for our needs, with basic amenities and rooms suitable for our stay. The attention to detail and friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the onsite car parking was a great convenience. The location was a plus for us as it was in a seafront position and only a short walk away from the center of town, the beach, and quayside restaurants. We had a great break at this hotel.

The car park was quite small and could be challenging if you needed to use your car frequently. the self-service toast could have used some tongs for hygiene purposes.
