The morning meal could be improved by ensuring that the milk cartons are replenished daily, as we found them empty when returning from our explorations and the nearby shop was closed. But overall, everything else about our stay at this hotel was superb.

We were making a long journey north and were feeling weary, so we decided to stop and we are so glad that we did and found this wonderful place. The staff were incredible- so friendly and efficient. The rooms, although small, were spotlessly clean with a very generous hospitality tray and a terrific shower. The food at The Coorie Inn was one of the best meals we have ever eaten and such terrific value for money. The bar had great music and the sausage rolls and sandwiches given out were a fantastic touch. Lovely comfy beds and good powerful shower. Nice tea, coffee, and biscuits.

I recently stayed at the Black Bull in Lanarkshire for an overnight trip around Scotland. The room, although small, had everything I needed and was kept clean. The pub's smoking area had a lovely patio, and they even had karaoke and live music on weekends. Great value for money with amenities like a good-sized TV and free WiFi.
