The hotel location was absolutely stunning, nestled in a picturesque setting. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with a balcony offering breathtaking views. The facilities like the pool and gym were well-maintained and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

During my visit, I accidentally left my charger in the room. Although the lost property staff couldn't return the exact charger, they kindly sent me a replacement in the mail.

As longer-term business travelers, we loved the beautiful grounds and the availability of wellington boots and umbrellas. The hotel catered well to families with young children. The outdoor activities and ample parking were a great bonus. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the pool exceeded our expectations. The pre-dinner drinks and dining experience at Smiths Restaurant were excellent, with knowledgeable staff offering wine advice. The turn-down service with refreshed towels and soft lighting was a lovely touch.

Located in a large park in the middle of Dartmoor, Bovey Castle offers a peaceful and picturesque setting. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are lovely. The staff is friendly and accommodating, with the rooms being serviced twice daily. There are plenty of activities available on-site, such as falconry displays and golf. The hotel also features a pool, steam room, and sauna for relaxation.

Some of the staff can come across as aloof and rude, which can detract from the overall experience.

What a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend! The views of the rolling hills and lush gardens were truly stunning. The hotel’s amenities were excellent, especially the well-maintained pool and the cozy bar. The restaurant’s cuisine was exceptional, with a wide selection of delicious dishes, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. Plus, the central location made exploring the area super easy.

The service was a bit spotty, with some staff members not being very attentive or friendly. , the room was a bit cramped, even though we booked a larger one.
