the owners were cheerful, friendly, and helpful. the view from my bedroom was stunning, overlooking Skiddaw and the town. the room had tea & coffee facilities and a small fridge with complimentary water bottles. Free car parking was available and the proprietor organized convenient access. my needs were met and I enjoyed my 3-night stay.

The location is perfect for exploring the area, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. It's just a short walk from here to Hope Park and Derwent Water, making it ideal for daytime walks and evening strolls into town. The hotel offers onsite parking, which was very convenient. The service and housekeeping were excellent, and the staff made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was clean and cozy, with a lovely fridge containing milk for our teas and coffees. We also appreciated the free Wi-Fi and the comfortable amenities provided.

This venue is recommended for families as well, so it's a great choice if you're traveling with children.

the room at Brundholme was spacious with a great view of Catbells. the bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was a decent size. I appreciated the small mini fridge that was restocked daily with water bottles. the room also had a kettle, cups, and tea/coffee. the small TV had access to various streaming services. the breakfast was delicious with a good variety to choose from, and the owners were welcoming and sweet. it was a wonderful experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful B&B in Cumbria. The location was incredible, with breathtaking views of the beautiful park and hills. The room was comfortable and the ensuite shower was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious – a wide selection of cereals, fresh fruit, and a mouth-watering cooked breakfast. It truly was a home away from home.

The limited WiFi signal in my room, but it was easily resolved by using the comfortable reception area downstairs.

It was absolutely phenomenal, leaving me happily satisfied until dinner time. The owners of the B&B were always friendly, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay. With its excellent location, just minutes away from the lake and the town center, and plenty of nearby walks, this B&B truly has it all. The only minor drawbacks were a difficult-to-open window and slightly tired furniture, but they did not detract from my overall wonderful experience. I can confidently say that I won't hesitate to stay at this lovely B&B again in the future.
