loved our stay in moffat and buccleuch arms blew us away! old-fashioned charm, clean rooms, and the friendliest hosts. they made us feel like family. the homemade dinner was scrumptious, especially bobotie. the owners even gave us a map for sightseeing. a gem of a hotel!

The food was delicious, and the breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time! the staff couldn’t do enough for you and were extra friendly. the location was very convenient, with key amenities nearby and easy access to transportation.

The rooms could benefit from a little updating, as the bed was old and creaky, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the fixtures and fittings were also a bit dated, but the staff and food more than made up for it.

What a gem of a place! Stayed at Buccleuch Arms for two days and it was perfect as a base for exploring the stunning views in the area. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable, and Smithy was on hand to help with all our motorbike needs and routes. The facilities for bikers, such as lock ups for bikes and a visor washing station, were great. The food was delicious, and the hardworking friendly staff made breakfast absolutely lovely. Moffat is a lovely village, but this friendly hotel is the jewel in the crown. Will definitely be back!

I had the most incredible experience at Buccleuch Arms! The staff, especially Dave and his team, were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout my stay. They really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and ensure I had everything I needed. The breakfast room was absolutely magnificent, and the waitress was so diligent and friendly. The quality of the food, especially the locally cured bacon, was superb. The hotel is also conveniently located in a beautiful part of Scotland, perfect for exploring the Moffat area and the border region. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Disappointing dinner experience, something was off.

We stayed at a fantastic hotel that caters specifically to bikers. They have secure bike sheds and locked gates with CCTV to ensure our bikes were safe. The owner, Peer, went out of his way to make us feel welcome and even offered help with our routes. The room was clean and the food in the restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for bikers and anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Centrally located with easy access to a pub nearby. Room was clean and comfortable with good shower facilities. Appreciated the tea and coffee provided in the room.

The motorcycle storage sheds in the shared beer garden made it feel cluttered and cramped. the food was overpriced for the portion sizes and quality.

What a fantastic weekend stay at the Buccleuch Arms! The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The food was delicious, especially the Bobotie my wife tried, and my burger was a real treat. The room, though slightly dated, was cozy and functional. The breakfast was top-notch, with the staff showing genuine care and even checking the weather report for us. The location was convenient too. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the lack of a casual bar area and some stairs to maneuver, overall I highly recommend this hotel.
