We had planned a weekend visit to explore Dornoch and stumbled upon the charming Carnegie Lodge. Despite its dated decor, the hotel exuded a certain charm that we found endearing. The friendly and attentive staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The menu offered a great selection of delicious dishes, all of which were cooked to perfection. Even my picky in-laws were impressed! The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back soon.

I had the most comfortable stay at a picturesque hotel near John'o Groats. The host, Heather, and her partner provided impeccable hospitality and exceptional room service. The cleanliness and layout of the hotel were perfect, with all amenities available. The breakfast served was comparable to that of a 7-star hotel, putting others to shame. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Carnegie Lodge for its top-notch service.

The food was fantastic, with a great choice on the menu. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional, everything was spotless. We highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay. we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning.

The owners were incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their early breakfast service was a thoughtful gesture. The two dinners we had were excellent. The location of the lodge, though not walking distance to tourist spots, offered a beautiful countryside setting. It was also conveniently located for traveling north. Additionally, the nearby Tain Hill provided a nice walk.

The hotel is conveniently located near several excellent golf courses within a radius of 25 miles. Guests can enjoy plenty of parking space, making it suitable for large parties. the owners Derek and Heather provide great service, food, and hospitality, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The decor in the rooms is dated and could benefit from a refresh.
