Had a great stay at a lovely hotel with friendly staff. Rooms had everything we needed and the location was perfect. The evening meal was delicious and the breakfast was good, although I would have liked a fruit option. a very positive experience at Devonshire Arms.

The hotel rooms were well-maintained and had a cozy atmosphere. The coffee and tea facilities provided in the room were a nice touch, with plenty of options available. Additionally, the staff were friendly and accommodating, providing clear instructions for late check-in and offering options for late dining and drinks.

One minor downside was the noise in the room, especially with the windows open during warmer days. Given the location near other pubs, some noise was expected even after 10 pm.

Our stay at Devonshire Arms was exceptional. The location opposite the village green was perfect, and our room boasted stunning views of the picturesque village. The room itself was spacious and well-equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a coffee machine, and even an iron and ironing board. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the delicious evening meals and reasonably priced cooked breakfasts. we highly recommend this hotel for its great location, comfortable rooms, and friendly service.

I recently stayed at the Devonshire Arms for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect and the room was incredibly comfortable. As a dog-friendly hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-finished our room was, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, despite being busy, and the food and drinks offered were sourced locally and delicious. The Tassimo coffee machine in the room was a lovely touch. We were pleasantly surprised to find croissants waiting for us in our room upon arrival. The room itself was beautifully decorated and well equipped with a wide selection of teas and coffees. The location in the heart of the Peak District was perfect for exploring the area. The staff kept us well informed and provided options for late-night dining. The pub had a warm and homely feel, and the meals served were delicious. we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

We would have liked more variety in the breakfast options, such as ham, cheese, and fresh fruit. The stairs leading to the toilets felt dirty and sticky, which was a bit off-putting.

I had a wonderful stay at the Devonshire Arms. The location was ideal for attending a wedding at Hartington Hall YHA. The hosts were lovely and made me feel welcomed throughout my stay. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the lovely ambiance.

One minor drawback was having to go to the bar for drinks or wine when dining in the restaurant. Additionally, there was no breakfast service provided, but I found a fantastic farm shop cafe nearby that served breakfast from 9am.

we had an amazing time staying at this wonderful place. the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating, even when they were busy with other customers. the food was sourced locally, and they had a great selection of drinks, including some delicious home ales. we couldn't ask for more, and we are definitely planning on returning in the future. a big thank you to Russ and Linda for making our stay so memorable.

The manager was attentive and apologetic, even offering us a discount without us having to ask. our experience at the Devonshire Arms was delightful.
