As a disabled traveler, I was impressed with the thoughtful preparation and clever design of the beautifully appointed rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and the superb shower made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and made me feel important, ensuring that my stay was pleasant. The front desk employee, Steve, was particularly professional and helpful. The breakfast served in the orangery had breathtaking views, and the well-tended gardens were a delight to explore afterwards.

Nestled in the peaceful countryside, this budget hotel offers a tranquil escape from city life. The rooms are impeccably clean and feature high-spec textured furnishings. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the rolling Essex countryside from the large windows. The staff are attentive and friendly, providing excellent service. A delicious three-course meal is served in the evening, and the orangery offers a beautiful space to unwind and enjoy light cakes. The hotel also offers an honesty bar and a marquee for events.

The location of the hotel was very peaceful, tucked away in a quiet area surrounded by nature. The continental breakfast was amazing, with a range of pastries, yoghurt, smoothies, toast. The homemade shortbread in the room was a delicious and thoughtful touch.

The parking area was a bit rough and could use some improvement. The curtains in the room were difficult to open and close due to their height from the ground.

The value for money at B&B Downham Hall was excellent. The room was well-appointed, clean, and had excellent fittings. The location was beautiful, with stunning grounds and gardens. The staff were very friendly and provided wonderful service throughout our stay.

We had an amazing experience at this gorgeous and popular venue. The location was quiet and the grounds were nice, providing a peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant had exceptional food, especially the wood-fire Pizza ovens, which we immediately booked for our evening meal and were not disappointed. Our bathroom was huge and contributed to our relaxation, along with the enormous bed. The room was well-equipped with more than we needed. The Full English Breakfast was perfect, and the staff treated us with great care and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
