The location of the hotel next to a picturesque loch is simply breathtaking. The view from Sandemans' restaurant is magnificent, allowing you to indulge in a truly immersive dining experience. The rooms in the Castle itself are tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, offering a comfortable stay. The service provided by James and his team in the bistro is exceptional, ensuring a delightful dining experience.

The bar service could be improved, as it was sometimes slow and could have been more efficient.

We had a delightful honeymoon stay at Fonab Castle. The food was sublime and the view from the bar was beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and we felt truly pampered during our visit. The afternoon tea was a lovely treat, and we made full use of the spa facilities, particularly the outdoor heated jacuzzi on the decking area. The small touches, like the box of chocolates and card, made our stay extra special.

The complimentary mince pies and mulled wine were a nice touch, as was the beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby. The location was perfect- we were able to take a lovely walk along the river and enjoy the stunning views. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, with a fireplace adding a nice touch to the festive atmosphere.

There were some issues with noise from neighboring rooms that kept us awake at night. the staff seemed overwhelmed with the holiday rush and service was not up to par.

Our stay at this hotel was an unforgettable experience full of luxury and comfort. This venue is perfect for those seeking exclusive amenities. The spa and wellness centre offers a wide range of massage, facial and beauty treatments. The fully-equipped sauna and steam room as well as the indoor and outdoor dining areas make for an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay. The sun terrace and garden area are perfect for soaking up the beautiful surroundings.

Although our stay was almost perfect, the service charge applied to everything came as a bit of a surprise. It was also a minor inconvenience that the hot tub was not working properly and the temperature couldn't be adjusted.
