Pleasant surprise in a basic B&B. Spotless room, comfy bed, friendly management, decent breakfast. Despite being at the back of a pub, it was pretty quiet once traffic calmed down. Easy access to city via local bus service. I'd recommend this place.

The property is conveniently located near Durham city centre with a supermarket opposite. The owners were kind and allowed me to stay after check-out for my work meeting. The breakfast was delicious and the place was clean. Reasonably priced and ideal for backpackers.

I had a fantastic stay at a B&B in Durham. the breakfast at Gilesgate Moor was absolutely amazing. the chef clearly knew what she was doing, and the host was so friendly and helpful. the room had everything we needed, including a much-needed closet. the shower was wonderful, with hot water and great water pressure. it was a great find, especially during 'graduation week' at the university.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at this hotel. The room may have had an 80's décor, but it was clean and comfortable. The TV and Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and there was plenty of coffee and tea in the room. The highlight for me was definitely the breakfast in the function room - it reminded me of the good ol' days. The full English breakfast was generous and well-cooked, with spotless cutlery and plenty of toast. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even allowing me to use the hotel to change into my funeral suit after checkout. If you want a genuine North East experience with reserved hospitality, I highly recommend this hotel. Despite a few minor drawbacks like limited parking and noise from the bar, I had a great stay overall.

Comfy bed, excellent breakfast, and very hot water! the bed in my room was so comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a cloud. the breakfast spread at the hotel was amazing, with a variety of options to choose from. And let's not forget about the hot water! It was always readily available, perfect for a refreshing shower after a long day of work.

The noise from the extractor fan in the bathroom was quite annoying, especially at night when I was trying to sleep. It would automatically come on whenever someone used the bathroom, leading to a disruption in my sleep.
