The Blue Room at Gutchpool Farm felt like a cozy retreat with its private terrace overlooking the river and comfy seating area. the wood-burner added a snug touch, perfect for chilly evenings. As a light sleeper, the peaceful surroundings were a dream.

The location may be a bit secluded for some, but for a tranquil getaway, it's just right.

The decoration at the hotel was so charming, with cozy armchairs and beautiful floral arrangements that made me feel right at home. the general areas were easy to navigate for us seniors, with wide corridors and comfortable seating areas to rest in between exploring. I appreciated how accessible everything was, allowing me to move around freely and enjoy all the amenities without any hassle.

I wish the children working there could offer more assistance with carrying luggage for seniors, especially up and down the stairs.

The accommodation at this farmhouse B&B was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The food, sourced locally, was fresh and delicious. The host was environmentally conscious, with recycling options available and a composting system. The guest lounge area was delightful, offering a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the view of the gardens. The countryside surrounding the property was perfect for exploring. this B&B provided more than just a place to stay, it felt like a destination in itself.

One drawback was discovering that the double room we booked did not have an ensuite bathroom and had a smaller bed than expected. However, this was our own oversight and it was resolved when we asked to be moved to a larger room with an ensuite and a log burner.

Hostess knowledgeable about the area and provided helpful information for our garden tour. Calm and tasteful atmosphere reminiscent of a high-tier travel magazine.
