We had a wonderful stay at Highside Farm Bed & Breakfast. the Grainary room was luxurious and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches and attention to detail. the Mawson family and their staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They even provided storage for our bikes and helped us with an adaptor to charge them, which was a lifesaver! the farm atmosphere added to the charm and relaxation of our stay. the breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we were impressed by the friendly and helpful service throughout our time there. We would happily return and highly recommend Highside Farm to others.

Great location for hillwalking, with fantastic views of Bassenthwaite Lake from our room. The breakfast was very good and the room was clean and cool during the heatwave. The owners were friendly and accommodating, and there were plenty of amenities nearby. Good value for money.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, with easy access to the beautiful Northern lakes and a nearby pub. the view from our room was absolutely stunning, making our stay even more enjoyable. the owners were friendly and helpful, always willing to offer advice and have a friendly chat.

there was no one at the hotel to greet us when we arrived, and we had to wait for 15 minutes before the proprietor showed up.
