I had the most wonderful stay at a hotel nestled in a beautiful park of the country. It was great to have the opportunity to explore the adjacent Castlewellan park and soak in the natural beauty. The location added a special touch to my experience. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, and they were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a good variety of options and was delicious. the restaurant provided a different and cozy atmosphere for dining.

Parking outside the hotel could be a bit tight, especially during busy weekend nights.

Our second visit to Hillyard and we couldn't be happier. Warm welcome from Danielle at reception. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very comfortable room. Excellent dinner with piping hot, tasty meals served by friendly waitresses. Lovely stay and will definitely be back.

hillyard house was an amazing find in castlewellan. the staff, especially katrina and grainne, were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my pregnant sister feel special. the rooms were beautiful and air-conditioned, and the facilities were brand new. the location was perfect, close to the stunning castlewellan forest park. overall, a truly excellent stay.
