Our room at Ambleside Lake House had a stunning view of the lake right outside, making for a breathtaking stay. The location of the hotel was also perfect, just a short walk away from Ambleside. We were impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, particularly Katie and Robert, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean and spacious, especially the hideaway rooms at the back.

While our overall stay was great, there were a few disappointing aspects of our room. The duvet cover had no buttons, causing the duvet to slip out easily.

Stayed at the Lake House for a weekend getaway and it was perfect! The location was ideal, just a short walk to the pier for boating on Windermere and close to Ambleside and Bowness. The 'Hideaway' room was warm, spacious, and clean, complete with unexpected underfloor heating in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and went the extra mile, providing a walking map and posting our postcards. The full English breakfast was delicious, with local produce and a beautiful view of the lake and hills.

I recently stayed at Ambleside Lake House for a few days and it was absolutely perfect for my needs. The location was ideal, with numerous restaurants and pubs just a few minutes' walk away. The ferry port for the boats to Bowness and Lakeside was conveniently located at the bottom of the main road. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff were lovely, and the breakfast offering was superb. The view from the dining room was also incredible, overlooking the lake and mountains.
