The value for money was excellent and the room was top-notch. The location was perfect, close to the city centre and parks, and the staff treated us with utmost kindness and attentiveness.

Breakfast delights: The only thing that could've made breakfast better was if the avocado in the Eggs Bennie was fresher and the poached eggs were perfectly runny.

This little gem of a hotel is located in a quiet peaceful area overlooking a beautiful park. It's away from the main centre but still within an easy walk to town. The hotel offers excellent breakfasts with tasty options like potato scones. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The bar area has a lovely atmosphere and serves great food.

The hotel had some minor issues with unfinished decor in one room, which was a bit disappointing considering the price.

I had a wonderful weekend away at a charming boutique hotel. The public areas had lovely decor, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The location was great, with plenty of nearby walking areas like the Meadows. The rooms were clean and had interesting decor. The staff were attentive, and I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, as it is within walking distance of all the main areas of the city. It is situated in a nice open area, away from the bustling city center, but still close enough to easily access all the attractions. The room was beautiful and spacious, with high ceilings and stunning decorations. The staff were communicative and attentive, ensuring a great stay.

There was an issue with the car parking situation, as the hotel failed to mention that parking on the road in front of the hotel is limited to 4 hours without returning for 1 hour. However, the bar staff were helpful in suggesting an alternative parking option nearby.

My stay at Black Ivy was fantastic. The hotel had friendly staff, a beautifully decorated interior, and a large, comfortable room with a great view of the park. The breakfast options, such as the veggie skillet and smoked salmon benny, were superb. I also enjoyed the extensive drinks menu at the bar.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel located in a nice area with a park just next to it. The staff has been very professional and service minded which made our experience lovely. The room amenities such as air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and flat-screen TV was a bonus. The buffet breakfast had a great selection and the dining restaurant had very good food options.

Great complimentary WiFi and water. the hotel is in a key location and only a short walk to the city center. the rooms are huge and beautifully decorated.

The broken wood on the window frame, the grubby marks on the walls, and the fact that the room was very warm despite the window being open 24/7 were unappealing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
