Guests can enjoy a short walk to the pub for some evening entertainment. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of electric/USB sockets, and the bathrooms have additional amenities such as earplugs. The breakfast is substantial and delicious, with options to suit everyone's taste. There are also small details like fresh cakes and a fridge with fresh milk for tea.

There was an issue with the bedside light being too low, but it was manageable for a short stay.

I had the best time at Maple Bank Country Guest House! The moment I walked in, I felt warmly welcomed by the friendly host, Kate. The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to beautiful walks and mountains. The room had everything I needed and more, including homemade cake waiting for me. What impressed me the most was how dog-friendly the guest house was. There was a huge fenced garden for dogs to run around in, and even dog towels and bathrobes provided. It was lovely to see sausages specially prepared for the furry guests at breakfast. The attention to detail for both humans and dogs was outstanding. From fresh cakes to take on walks to foot gel for tired feet, everything was thoughtfully provided. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and Kate's knowledge about the area made it even better. I also appreciated the secluded feel of the guest house, despite being close to many attractions. I couldn't fault anything about my stay, and I would highly recommend Maple Bank Country Guest House to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. I can't wait to return and experience the warmth and hospitality again.

I recently stayed at Maple Bank for a 4-night break and it was amazing. Kate, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room had beautiful views and was very comfortable. The location is fantastic, with several great pubs nearby. The cooked breakfasts were out of this world, using local produce. Maple Bank is also extremely dog-friendly, making it the perfect B&B for canines. it was the most comfortable and welcoming B&B I've ever stayed in.

The hotel's location was perfect - away from the craziness of the crowds but near enough to all main attractions in this wonderful area. It was also conveniently located near a bus stop and provided easy access to the very near mountains. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The location was perfect for spending Christmas surrounded by beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the view of the fells and the convenience of the on-site parking. the guest house was also very clean and well-maintained, which added to our comfort.

Everything seemed to be in order and we were impressed with the service. However, we did feel that the bathroom was somewhat small, which was not a major issue, but worth mentioning.
