The Old Manse Pickering Bed & Breakfast was such a wonderful find! The house was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The comfortable bed ensured a great night's sleep, and the friendly and helpful staff made us feel right at home. The location was perfect for exploring the moors and coastline, and we wished we could have stayed longer.

The value for money was great, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to tourist attractions and just a short walk into the village. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, offering us a warm reception with freshly made coffee and biscuits. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, even allowing us to check in early and offering to store our cars after checkout. Val, in particular, was a delight and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The breakfast was top-notch, with a wide range of freshly brewed coffee, fruits, cereals, and locally sourced produce for a delicious full English breakfast. The hospitality tray was kept well-stocked, and the hotel provided lovely toiletries. We also loved being able to relax in the garden—a real bonus. a lovely hotel experience that we would definitely repeat.

We had a wonderful stay at Old Manse Pickering Bed & Breakfast. the beds were incredibly comfortable and the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. the en suite bathroom looked brand new. We appreciated the well-stocked hospitality tray, including delicious caramel wafers. the breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. the owner was very welcoming and friendly. the location was excellent, just a short 10-minute walk to the Railway Station and the main street of the town. Free parking was available at the back of the property and the WiFi worked well.

As a woman traveling alone, I felt totally at home at this hotel. The owner, Valerie, goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome. The hospitality provided by her and her staff is outstanding. The breakfasts and evening meals are delicious, using quality local ingredients. The hotel is located within a short and easy stroll to the town centre and offers ample on-site parking. The staff are efficient, attentive, and friendly, making it a safe and comfortable stay for solo female travelers.

The breakfast was delicious with a good varied choice, and Wi-Fi was good. the hotel is in an excellent location for the North Yorkshire Moors Heritage Railway, with only a short walk to the train station. the car parking facilities at the back of the hotel provided a safe and convenient place to park.

The stairs can be a bit of a challenge with luggage. A small nitpicky fault was that the television in our room was fairly high on the wall stand and not good to view from the armchair.

Some of the seating in the garden was situated under trees, which attracted birds and resulted in bird droppings on the seats. A better placement of the seating, such as under a canopy, would have been more hygienic and enjoyable.
