Friendly receptionist. Prompt response to missing dressing gowns. Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast staff were great. Lovely pea and asparagus risotto. Comfortable beds and surprise blackout curtains.

I must say, I got great value for my money at this lovely hotel. The room they gave me after a small issue was beautiful and quiet, just what I needed. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and the location was perfect for walking the Ridgeway.

Hotel breakfast could be improved with more variety.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, the comfiest I've ever experienced! the room was spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. the jacuzzi and swimming pool were a great addition and were the perfect size. the hotel staff were lovely and went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure our stay was special. the main foyer area was particularly impressive, with beautiful Christmas decorations adding to the festive ambience. We also enjoyed the afternoon tea, which was very good.

there was no hot water initially, which was only communicated to us the day before our arrival. Although it was fixed relatively quickly, the room was cold, especially the bathroom where the towel rail didn't work.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location was absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful grounds where I could stroll and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The ambience of the original part of the building was grand and impressive, creating a truly luxurious atmosphere. The room I stayed in was clean and spacious, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and offered excellent customer service, always willing to go the extra mile to make my stay enjoyable. I especially appreciated the warm welcome and the helpfulness of the staff, who even accommodated my dietary requirements without any fuss. The breakfast was extensive and served in a grand room, adding to the overall luxurious experience.

In terms of improvement, I did experience some noise from the nearby lift in my room. Additionally, the exterior of the room, particularly the door and carpet, appeared a bit shabby.

Refurbished rooms, lovely staff, quick shower fixes, and option to use spare room's shower. Same menu in bar as restaurant. Great, quiet weekend.

I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful grounds surrounding the hotel. It was a joy to have windows that opened onto the gardens, providing a lovely view. The location was also great, with easy access to the centre for a day out. The room itself was comfortable and well-appointed, with all the necessary amenities. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious.

Some areas of the hotel were in need of updating, such as the decor and carpets.

Had a wonderful Xmas break! the service and staff were great and we appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and chocolate box in our room upon arrival. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby town center and countryside walks. We also enjoyed the cozy atmosphere in the lounge area with the fireplace and Christmas decorations.

Our biggest disappointment was the outdated bathroom facilities, including a weak shower and poor lighting. the room itself could also use some updating as there were some worn and tired areas.

We got great value for our money at this hotel. The room was beautifully furnished, with a super comfy bed and fluffy towels. The location was perfect, with lovely places to eat nearby, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The only thing that could have made breakfast better was if there were more variety in the items offered.

However, the staff were incredibly accommodating and quickly relocated me to a much better room. The hotel itself is charming, although it could use some refurbishment and better cleaning practices. The beds were comfortable and the linen was clean. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the rooms did have fans to keep us cool. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again in the future.
