The room at Portman Lodge was cozy with a comfy bed. the large bathroom was a nice touch, and the flat-screen TV was a bonus. Felt like a home away from home which I loved as a budget traveller.

Staff was a bit too overbearing during check-in, but they meant well.

Portman Lodge offers extremely nice, clean, and tidy rooms with a delightful breakfast selection served by the friendly host Neil. the beautiful old building is well-kept, creating a calm atmosphere that enhances the overall experience.

Minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom were noted, such as a stain on the shower edge and limescale around the shower screen fittings. No extra pillows were readily available.
