We had a fantastic stay at Portnellan in the beautiful cottage. With a group of 4 adults and 5 kids, the cottage was the perfect size for us. The spacious garden area with views of the loch was a big hit, especially with the football goals for the kids. The bedrooms were well-sized and the living, dining, and kitchen areas were roomy as well. We enjoyed using the free kayaks on the loch and watching DVDs from the reception. The staff were friendly and welcoming, offering great advice on walking routes. We even explored Ben More, which was nearby, and marveled at the stunning landscape.

Lovely lodge with a cozy, traditional feel. The views from the balcony were absolutely breathtaking. The hosts, Lucy and Cameron, were welcoming and provided helpful information about the local area. The "honesty shop" on site was a nice touch, offering rent-able DVDs and games. The lodge itself was warm and comfortable, perfect for a peaceful stay.

The shower pressure was a bit weak, but it wasn't a major issue. The kitchen in our lodge was a bit outdated compared to others on site, possibly because it was the pet-friendly lodge.

Fantastic location, well-equipped house, homely feel, amazing kitchen, clean and well-maintained.

The surroundings were stunning, breathtaking views and a perfect location for exploring the highlands with easy access to nearby towns. It was great to have access to bikes and rowing boats free of charge.

the local shop near the hotel was a bit expensive, so it's worth doing some shopping before arriving.

The hotel offers a luxurious ambiance with exclusive amenities such as a sauna, private facilities, and a sun terrace. the massage services provided are remarkable, as I had an amazing full-body massage. the surroundings are serene and peaceful, making it an excellent location for a relaxing getaway.

The only minor issue was a lack of outdoor dining areas, as there were only a few picnic tables available, which were often occupied. this did not affect my overall experience in this hotel.

The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of mountains, hills, and lochs all around. the accommodation was also impressive, with a well-equipped kitchen and well-maintained rooms.

The noise from the nearby main road, which disrupted the peaceful atmosphere we were hoping for. some aspects of the cottage could have been improved, such as the basic cooking equipment and the lack of attention to small details in terms of cleanliness and maintenance.

The location of the hotel is perfect, with stunning views down towards the loch. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, with spacious layouts and cozy furnishings. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing great service throughout your stay. There are plenty of activities available, such as free canoes and rowing boats, as well as mountain bikes for exploring the surrounding area. the delicious mountain water from the tap is a nice touch, providing a healthy and refreshing drink.

The cooking equipment in the kitchen could use some improvement, as mentioned in one of the reviews.

Friendly owners, provided tea, coffee, and milk. Plenty of space for 7 people. Clean, fully equipped kitchen, and 3 nice bathrooms. Beautiful scenery and views of the loch. Would stay again.

Excellent view from chalet, clean and comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, friendly staff, good weather and views.
