This hotel is ideally located, just a short walk away from the bustling town centre and in close proximity to the seafront. The rooms are well-stocked and the bathrooms are immaculate. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety of options. the hotel has a cosy bar and a comfortable first-floor lounge for guests to relax in.

There is one drawback with this hotel - the stairs to the second floor have a narrow step which requires caution.

I had a fantastic stay at a historical hotel, perfect for our family gathering. The service was incredibly friendly and genuine, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The Elizabeth suite, where we stayed, had a modern bathroom and a lovely small patio. We also appreciated that the hotel provided a cot bed and a couch bed in the Henry suite, which was perfect for our family of four. The hotel even arranged for a babysitter, who was lovely and put us at ease. The small gym and pool were a hit with the kids, particularly on rainy days. Plus, the view of the sea from the hotel was absolutely beautiful. We will definitely be returning to this spacious, charming hotel.

While the hotel itself was wonderful, my room was a disappointment. It was small, hot, and stuffy, with poor air circulation and a noisy air conditioning system outside.

We stayed in the Henry Suite, very nice, comfortable, and roomy. Lovely Drawing room lounge on the first floor. Excellent bathroom and shower. Convenient parking right outside the room. Quiet location and attractive hotel with ample common areas. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly and helpful staff.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Royal Glen in Sidmouth for a relaxing break. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, and the room was lovely with a contemporary and spotless bathroom. The grade 1 listed building had exquisite features, and the ambience was incredibly relaxing. The highlight was definitely the comfortable bed, providing the best night's sleep I've had in ages. The breakfast was delicious, cooked to order, and the absence of a toast machine was a great touch. a treat that stole my heart.

We had a wonderful time at Royal Glen! The hotel's traditional style with modern facilities was charming. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was delicious. The single room was spacious and comfortable, and the location near the seafront was perfect. The helpful staff accommodated my request for a sheet/blanket instead of a duvet. The gardens were lovely and provided a sunny spot to relax and enjoy the sea view. a gem of a hotel with top-class service.

Lovely family run hotel with history and character. Very good location at the base of Peak Hill and close to the sea. Offers great value compared to other hotels in the area. Easy parking, unlike some seafront hotels. Good restaurant. Outstanding breakfast. Unique place to stay with a view of the sea from the drawing room and bar. Stayed in the room where Queen Victoria was grazed by a stray bullet.
