We had a delightful stay at a comfortable and yet quiet place right in the harbour. the owner of Shorehead Guest House impressed us with his attention to detail, cooking a delicious breakfast cooked just to our liking. He also provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants. the room was spotless, newly decorated, and unpretentious. It was a little gem with a lovely view of the harbour.

The guest house is conveniently located right beside the picturesque harbour, allowing for stunning views of the water and the boats. It is also very close to the path that leads to the famous Dunnotter Castle, making it a perfect location for exploring this historical site. Additionally, the guest house is directly in the port, offering a unique and charming atmosphere for guests to enjoy.

One negative aspect is the lack of eating facilities, with the only option being a busy pub.

The bed was comfortable and the room warm with a lovely view of the harbour. Convenient location and quiet. Breakfast had a good fruit choice, pastries and quality yoghurt. Well-kept property by the water with nearby restaurants.

Nothing that I didn't like.

I recently stayed at the charming Shorehead Guest House for a few nights. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by Earle and Jane, who were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The rooms have been recently renovated to a high standard and are very comfortable. One of the highlights was enjoying a glass of wine at the tables in front, overlooking the picturesque harbour. The location is ideal for visiting Dunnottar Castle and taking a Stonehaven Sea Safari. Additionally, the Ship Inn is just a short walk away for a delicious breakfast. The local atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, making it a must-stay place. I can't wait to return!

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay at Shorehead Guest House. The location was perfect, right on the harbor and just a short walk to the town. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and a cozy lounge area. The breakfast options were plentiful, even though it was self-service. The nearby pubs and restaurants, like The Ship and Marine, offered fantastic food and a great atmosphere. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend Shorehead Guest House for a pleasant stay.

We stayed for 2 nights at Shorehead Guest House while catching up with relatives. The location was perfect, with a great pub next door and a fantastic fish restaurant across the fishing harbour. The property itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The hosts were friendly and the breakfasts were fabulous. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun and soaking up the local atmosphere. We will definitely be returning with family and friends.

Value for money was excellent, with a beautifully decorated room and comfortable beds offering stunning views over the harbor and sea. The location was ideal, right by the seafront with child-friendly bars and restaurants just a short walk away. The owner was a fantastic host, providing lots of helpful information about the area and making us feel warmly welcomed.

Breakfast delights could have been improved with a better selection of tea bags and fresh milk instead of curdled cartons. It would have been nice to have more amenities in the room, such as additional bedside tables and chairs.

I had a fantastic stay at a B&B by the harbor with a fabulous view. the rooms were cozy and the beds were extremely comfortable. the host and hostess, Earle and Jane, were welcoming and helpful, providing great suggestions for local attractions and places to visit along our vacation route. the location was perfect, with a scenic walking trail leading to Dunnottar Castle and a short walk to the city center with various restaurants. it was a top-notch experience at Shorehead Guesthouse.
