the upgraded dining room with its varied table sizes and cozy upholstered furniture made for a pleasant dining experience. the menu was diverse and catered to both vegetarians and meat lovers, leaving our guests thoroughly impressed. the bar snacks, particularly the taramasalata with cuttlefish ink rice crackers, were absolutely fantastic. the extensive wine list also tempted us with its appealing choices. Breakfast was a delight, offering a wide range of options and a lovely view of the courtyard garden. the staff were friendly, efficient, and even found a forgotten kindle and notified us before we left. the old building was beautifully decorated with antiques and wood panelling, adding to the charm of the hotel.

This hotel exceeded all expectations and I can't recommend it enough. the location is one of the most attractive small hotel garden locations I can remember. It's a great place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink as the sun goes down behind the castle, overlooking the water. Secondly, the staff were wonderful - attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. Thirdly, the rooms were comfortable, with basic amenities and the option to open the windows for fresh air. Lastly, the breakfast in The Conservatory was delicious, with a stunning backdrop of the Solent.

All in all, everything was ok and there's nothing significant to improve.

The service at the hotel was charming and classy, exceeding my expectations. the restaurant served food with gastronomic eloquence, making every meal a delight. the hotel's beautiful boutique style, coupled with the sunny location and decadent atmosphere, created a memorable experience.

The service could have been more attentive, as I found myself having to seek out the staff for assistance. the waiting staff seemed to disappear during the second sitting, indicating a need for more training.

We had a fantastic stay at George Hotel. the location was perfect, just a stone's throw away from the Ferry terminal. We were delighted with the free upgrade to a classic double room. the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady at reception who arranged a last-minute dinner reservation for us and gave great recommendations for local pubs. the room was cozy, well laid out, and offered a great view of the harbor. the WiFi was surprisingly good, allowing us to watch videos on YouTube without any issues. And the breakfast was incredible, especially the Full English. We highly recommend it!

The George Hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. the value for money was outstanding. I couldn't believe the prices for such a prime location right on the beach. Secondly, the attention to detail was impeccable. From the moment I walked in, I could see the care and effort put into the newly renovated reception area. And let's not forget the friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. The basic amenities in the room were exactly what I needed, with a lovely comfortable bed and a beautiful view over the Solent. The large en-suite bathroom was an added bonus. Lastly, having breakfast included was the icing on the cake. It was the perfect way to start my day before heading out to explore the area or meet up with friends just off the ferry. I especially enjoyed the excellent green smoothie and the cooked dish.

All aspects of my stay at this hotel were more than satisfactory.

The hotel is ideally located by the waterfront, providing stunning views of the solent and sailing vessels. Guests can enjoy a pleasant breakfast in the garden or visit nearby pubs for a meal. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with nice toiletries provided. The staff is extremely accommodating and the breakfasts are delicious. One can also enjoy the beautiful settings on the waters edge.

The breakfast selection was delicious, and we enjoyed dining while taking in the breathtaking views from the terrace.

Great location next to a castle and beachfront with a nice view of the sea. the room was spacious and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay for our business trip.

Our room did not match the images displayed online. the carpet appeared dirty, and the maintenance seemed poor with a broken lock on the door and windows that didn't open properly.
