The location of the guest house was incredible. It was so close to the town centre and the beach, making it convenient to explore both. if you didn't want to walk up the hill, there was a tram that would take you back up near the guest house. This made it so easy to enjoy the nearby shops and the beautiful beachfront.

The noise levels at night were unbearable with the loading bay outside being used by Uber eats vehicles. They would shout and chat until the early hours, disturbing our sleep.

Great location in a lively area, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. the room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and a newly refurbished bathroom. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was freshly made and tasty. It was great that there was a lift available as I had mobility issues. Overall a good value for money stay.

The toilet was broken on arrival, and the water kept running all night making a lot of noise. the shower was also disappointing as it had low water pressure, resulting in a weak stream.

Our stay at the Serenity Guest House was simply delightful. We were captivated by the charm and history of the 228-year-old building. Despite some minor cleanliness issues and basic facilities, the value for money was unbeatable. The homemade breakfast was a true highlight, made with love and served by the amazing staff. The location was perfect, despite the obstructed sea view, and we even got lucky with a beautiful sunrise. We did have a few small inconveniences, such as missing towels and a tiny shower room, but these did not overshadow the overall positive experience. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, led by Steve, made us feel right at home. We appreciated being able to leave our bags at the guest house after check-out to explore the area. The room may have been basic, but it was clean, comfortable, and provided us with a good night's sleep. The nearby parking was convenient, although it did come at a cost. To top it all off, the guest house had a wonderful, inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be returning to the Serenity Guest House in the future.

Had a fantastic stay at the Serenity Guest House! The location was amazing, right by the sea, and the price was excellent compared to nearby guest houses. The breakfast service was top-notch, the quality and taste were amazing. The rooms were spotless and the toiletries provided were lovely. The shower in the room was great too. The staff, especially Steve, who responded quickly to my text messages, were very polite and attentive. Cannot fault this hotel and will definitely rebook!
